Bando 3.0 wallet proves slim design is still in

It’s been nine years since Dash Wallets launched their first-ever slim wallet. Since then, the company has improved upon its products and made quite the name for itself in everyday carry (EDC) circles. Dash Wallets’ latest offering happens to be their 10th project. Significantly smaller than its predecessor, the Bando 3.0 multi-functional slim wallet delivers the features and design we deserve.

Slim wallets have shown just how bulky and outdated traditional bi- and tri-fold (yikes!) wallets really are. Notable crowdfunded wallets, such as The Ridge, Crabby, and others, demonstrate that minimal is the way to go. Pushing the envelope of size, the Bando 3.0 somehow manages to shrink down even further. Thanks to its smart features, it retains ideal carrying capacity of up to 10 cards (plus cash).

The Bando 3.0 is thinner, smaller, and has improved functionality over the Bando 2.0. At 25 mm thick, 95 mm long, and 65 mm wide, this newest version manages to reduce its footprint by 40%, 12%, and 15%, respectively. For comparison, the Bando 3.0 is thinner than two iPhone 12 phones stacked on each other. It’s an impressive feat, considering how compact such wallets are to begin with. And, it weighs less than an ounce.

In terms of functionality, the Bando 3.0 has revamped how internally-stored cards are accessed. Gone is the two-handed, manual pull-tab. Instead, the wallet features a mechanical quickdraw that can be performed with just one hand. Flipping the switch on the bottom fans out up to seven cards for quick access. Made out of “aerograde aluminum,” this storage system offers longer-lasting durability versus elastic or fabric mechanisms. Plus, the aluminum doubles as RFID blocking tech for added security.

Two more, easy-access card slots are located on the exterior of the Bando 3.0. The opposite side features a flexible cash band, with grippy gel, for additional storage. All of this is wrapped in a premium, microfiber leather canvas material. If you’re looking for boxes to check off, the Bando 3.0 covers you for minimal, durable, and stylish. Check off one more box if you also like affordable.

The Dash Wallets Bando 3.0 multi-functional slim wallet is currently funding on Kickstarter. Over 1900 backers have helped the campaign raise over US$60 thousand dollars in just one day. The campaign has another 58 days of funding left to go. Early bird pledges for the Bando 3.0 start at $19 dollars, saving 40 percent off the planned retail cost. If everything goes according to schedule, backers can expect shipments to start August 2021.
